M+A Staffers to Present at CSI Regional Conference

The Columbus Chapter of the Construction Specifications Institute (CSI) will be hosting the Great Lakes Region Conference at the Hyatt Regency in downtown Columbus, July 22-24, 2010. The Great Lakes Region encompasses five states and fifteen CSI chapters.

Throughout the conference, sixteen different educational sessions will be available, many that provide CEU's for AIA members. On Friday, July 23rd, two M+A staffers, Dave Kerr and Seth Oakley will be presenting an AIA CEU session entitled "BIM: Beyond the Basics." The presentation will focus on what managers, owners and specification writers need to know in order to be more efficient and profitable in working with BIM. It will cover things like the shift in workflow, proper time management, fee proposals, and the specification writer's role in the future of BIM.

Also at the conference, M+A Senior Project Manager, Kirk Paisley will be representing the Columbus Chapter as the new President and will be presenting a session entitled "Introduction to CSI." This is an opportunity for new members or people who are interested in joining CSI to learn more about what the group has to offer and how it can help advance your career.
