M+A Working with Ohio State
M+A Architects is currently working with the Ohio State University on plans to demolish four academic buildings on their main Columbus campus. The project involves the complete demolition of Boyd, Johnson, Aviation, and Haskett Halls which are located along 19th and Woodruff Avenues. Upon completion of the demolition, the project will make way for the new Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering and Chemistry Building that will be built on this site. Asbestos abatement is part of this project as well as planning for how utilities will be cut and capped. Existing tunnels under the buildings will be selectively demolished and the remaining tunnels will remain active to serve adjacent buildings.
