An experienced registered architect and senior project manager, Kurt tirelessly strives to deliver successful projects to his clients that meet their needs, budget and schedule. Kurt has been involved with the design of mixed-use and retail developments for more than 15 years, working on projects in a variety of states. In addition, he has been involved in the design of numerous parking garages during his career; two of them have won design awards from the AIA and from the Pennsylvania Parking Association.

Building on his passion for accessible design and life safety for a building’s users, Kurt became a Certified State of Ohio Master Plans Examiner and Building Code Official in 2016. He has experience with the accessible design requirements of the FHA including ADA, ADAAG, ANSI A117.1 (1986 + 2009) and UFAS. Now, with his proficiency with code compliance, Kurt expertly advises clients, project partners and fellow architects alike on solutions that protect and help even our most vulnerable society members. Currently Kurt provides master plans examining services for the cities of Westerville, Grandview Heights, Gahanna and Hilliard, Ohio as well as Licking County, Ohio. He has provided more than 45 accessibility audits of various types of buildings for building owners and attorneys.

In addition to leading MA Design’s Technical Services group, Kurt brings a passion for excellent lighting design, energy efficiency and beautiful light fixtures as MA’s lighting designer. He continuously stays on top of lighting design trends and has an immense network of manufacturers with whom he has a relationship.
