Joseph Baker

Project Captain

Assoc. AIA

Refreshing and vibrant, Joseph is someone you feel like you’ve known forever, and could never forget—just ask his longstanding clients that ask for him time and time again. Responsible for some of the most recognizable buildings that serve as the face of downtown Columbus, Joseph honors the details of design, focusing on functionality and form. With nationwide experience, a degree focused in renewable energies, years as a fabrication technologist, and a specialty in affordable housing, Joseph brings dynamic design solutions and strategies to the table. Highly strategic and efficient, Joseph’s magic comes from identifying opportunities to best line up a building for constructability, considering function and square footage to optimize any space. With a passion for affordable, accessible housing, he is driven by the power architecture has over social equity and inclusion, particularly in marketplace housing. Joseph understands where the pressures of a project come from, and is able to come up with solutions before there’s even a problem. A life long learner and lover of ideas, his creativity and appreciation for connections are what make Joseph the most incredible team member and successful designer.
